Event date: Aug 6, 1875
The Monster Brass Band Concert, and Picnic, at Lake Pleasant last Friday, drew one of the largest crowds ever gathered on a similar occasion in this section. It was estimated that there were 10,000 people on the grounds. There were 17 brass bands present. The grand concert, participated in by all the bands, under the direction of Dr. Meekins, was not so successful as many expected it would be.
