Small Business Assistance Program Loan Review Committee – Appointments
In a memorandum dated January 14, 2026, DPW Director Dan Tyler discusses Change Order #9 for the Pleasant Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade. By approving the Consent Agenda the Board will approve Change Order #9 in the amount of $163,286.01, for previously unpaid costs associated with the Pleasant Valley Water Treatment Facility (WTF) Upgrade Project.
In a memorandum dated January 7, 2026 HR/Finance Director Sally Cruz Nix discusses the Small Business Assistance Program Loan Review Committee and request that the Townappoint herself and Nicholas Whalen to the committee. By approving the Consent Agenda, the Board will appoint Sally Cruz Nix, Town of Brattleboro’s Human Resources and Finance Director and Nicholas Whalen, Branch Manager, Community Bank, to the Small Business Assistance Program Loan Review Committee.

In a memorandum dated January 16, 2026, Town Manager John Potter discusses three
requests from charitable organizations in Town to place an article on the RTM warning
regarding continuing their exemptions of the municipal portion of real estate taxes. These
exemptions last for five years. Representatives from the organizations will be in the meeting
to discuss this matter.
POTENTIAL MOTION: TO PLACE AN ARTICLE ON THE BRATTLEBORO
REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING WARNING ASKING IF THE TOWN WILL APPROVE
THE EXEMPTION OF THE MUNICIPAL TAX PORTION OF REAL ESTATE TAXES FOR
THE POST 5 AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL FIELD, THE FAMILY GARDEN, AND THE
NEW ENGLAND CENTER FOR CIRCUS ARTS (NECCA).
