Brattleboro’s Charter Revision Commission to Meet – May 14, 2026

Brattleboro’s Charter Revision Commission will meet on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The meeting will take place at 6pm in the Selectboard Meeting Room at the Municipal Center, 230 Main Street, Brattleboro and via Zoom.

The commission will discuss the results of the March 3, 2026 ballot items, Brattleboro’s form of annual town meeting, and set its work plan for the months ahead. The agenda, including the Zoom link, can be found at https://brattleboro.gov/charter-commission.

Public input will be taken throughout the meeting.

The commission was established by the selectboard in December 2022. Article 4, Section 5(H) of the Brattleboro requires, “At least as often as every fifteen (15) years, the selectboard shall appoint from among the voters a charter revision commission to review the language of the charter and the rights, powers, duties, and responsibilities specified therein. The commission may propose amendments as may redraft the charter in whole or in part.”

Members of the commission are Kate O’Connor (chair), Maya Hasegawa (vice chair), Joy Tournoux (clerk) Hannah Clarisse, Peter Elwell, and Denise Glover.
