Noticed Around Brattleboro – Summer 2026

A place for noting the little things you see around town, such as:

  • New charging stations in the Co-op parking lot, and a bit of a new layout to the store inside (some minor adjustments of some aisles and cases)
  • A new ADA Amtrak Train Station
  • work of the outdoor library landscaping  and structures continues

Add anything you’ve noticed…

  • Full serve

Downtown gas & service station re-opens with new owners .

  • Demo started

Demolition started today at the closed car wash on Canal Street.

  • Flowery town

It’s a great year for flowers, everywhere around town.

  • skunks

not long after dawn a white’n’brown skunk might be ambling along Elliot Street, see one a few times over the past week
but the white’n’black one with real shiny fur, looking very healthy, crossing Green Street towards the Heart Rose Club.

  • Dollar Tree "Closed Until Further Notice"

    The sign went up yesterday.
Family Dollar doesn’t seem to be in a rush to re-open.
So we’re now down to one dollar store inconveniently in West Bratt and it has the worst selection of the three.

  • Blue

Ye olde Pepsi(?) building across from the gym on Putney Rd is getting some attention – new coats of blue paint.

And gee, it is nice to have smoother roads again. : )
