Intro to Aerial Circus class

Curious about aerial arts? This is the class to get started, where you get to try different aerial “toys” at NECCA.

Aerial sling and aerial fabric are both “fabric arts.” Aerial sling is a loop of fabric. Aerial fabric is two long panels of fabric and is also commonly known as “silks.” Trapeze and lyra are both “bar arts.” Trapeze is like a swing floating two to four feet above the ground. Lyra is a big metal circle, also known as aerial hoop.

Each class will offer the opportunity to try these apparatus. Try something new, or if you find something you love, focus on that. Develop your basic aerial skills, and when you’re ready you can move to the next level in more advanced classes focused on a specific apparatus.

This class is for all bodies, all fitness levels and most ages (18 & up).
