I. Convened 5:28

II. Approve Oct 14, 2020 Minutes- Approved

III. Title IX revamp- Policies flowing from the PPEC Report:

We will suggest policies to the A and P Committee for various areas. Previous workteams will identify areas for policy development from their sections of the report for the December 9 meeting.

IV. Equity and COVID Educational Experience- PPEC is concerned with equity for students  with inadequate internet service. Paul Smith reported on internet connectivity issues. Counselors are in contact with 40-50 families with poor connectivity. Providers and state have provided support. WSESD is covering “Essentials” costs where possible. Xfinity hot spots are available.

How are we accommodating these students’ needs? Tracking effectiveness- Paul does not have data on this, so we don’t know if they are having an equitable educational experience.

We don’t have info on each circumstance; just the addresses.

Emily and David will prepare questions to try to get at the variability of student experience during this pandemic period and forward to Andy. ** (11-13-2020 addendum-Questions are below)

V. Remote Learning Share-Out- postponed

VI. Next Agenda- Dec. 9, 2020 at 5:30.

Remote Learning Share-Out

Identify areas for Title IX policy development by workteams for the December meeting

Adjourned 6:50.

**Addendum 11-13-2020

Questions for Andy-

• We would like to see the students grouped into “low internet categories” i.e. how many families don’t want the internet, how many can’t pay the bill, how many are physically/geographically unable to get internet, internet is overloaded, other, etc.

• We would like to see attendance and engagement data.

• What are the active interventions for low-engagement students? Please highlight the interventions given for low-internet access students, so we can see the specific interventions that apply to them.
