We held our inaugural Snow Golf skills competition in 2023 on a beautiful snowy day and had so much fun, we decided to make it an annual event! New this year, we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Brattleboro Country Club on the design and layout of our challenges, which will lead to an even better experience for everyone. We’re also excited to be part of Brattleboro Winter Carnival this year! Golfers and spectators can also enjoy a special Scott Farm cider based warm cocktail or warm sweet cider at our cozy pop up bar! New to Snow Golf? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hit a golf ball in the snow? So did Rudyard Kipling, author of The Jungle Book and many other classics! According to the U.S. Golf Association and historical accounts, Kipling invented Snow Golf right here in Vermont at his Dummerston home – Naulakha – following his introduction to the game by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame. As stewards of Naulakha, we’re excited to continue the tradition right where it was born with a fun wintery fundraiser. All proceeds support the historic preservation work of The Landmark Trust USA, helping us maintain these beautiful historic properties, produce place-based educational programs, and save additional historic buildings.
