Labor Day Weekend Festival Organ Concert

Starts in 5 Days, 10 Hours

September 5, 2026 7:30 pm

Friends of Music at Guilford’s 60th Labor Day Weekend Festival resumes the tradition, interrupted by COVID, of a concert on the historic 19th-century Guilford Tracker Organ.  Through the summer, organ specialist Larry Nevin, who restored the organ 3+ decades ago, has worked on bringing the organ out of its hibernation and back to making music.

On Saturday, September 5 at 7:30 pm, we will have not one but TWO familiar area organists!  Frederick Gray will start with a set including Bach, Mozart, and even some familiar hymns, and after a brief intermission, Seth Phoenix will play Handel, Mendelssohn, and much more.

Being the 60th, and in celebration of the return of the organ, the concert will be followed by a reception!

The Organ Barn is located at The Kopkind Colony, 158 Kopkind Road, Guilford, VT; there will be signs st intersections.  Please allow a full half hour from Brattleboro, and keep in mind it’s a narrow hilly dirt road.
