March for Gaza

March 2, 2024 11:00 am

Join Southern Vermont for Palestine and call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, an end to the genocide, and hands off Rafah, where Israel is expected to launch a ground invasion that could lead to thousands more civilian deaths. Bring your flags, signs, posters & banners. We’ll rally at the Whetstone Walkway (across from the Brattleboro Food Cop-op) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 2. www.sovt4palestine.org

  • "Peace" march supports Oct 7 Atrocities.

Brattleboro activists were silent and complicit about Oct 7, as they have been about Arab governments murdering Arab civilians.

When did the Brattleboro “Peace” marchers cry out against murder of over 300,000 Syrian civilians? Or more than 20,000 Arabs killed by the Saudi government? I doubt that any of our local activists ever heard of the Black September massacre of upwards of 20,000-25,000 Palestinian? (Hint, it was not done by Israel.)

Arabs killing Arabs is OK with our local supporters of “peace”?

“On 28 June 2022, the United Nations Human Rights Office (OHCHR) stated that at least 306,887 civilians had been killed in Syria during the conflict between March 2011 and March 2021, representing about 1.5% of its pre-war population. This figure did not include indirect and non-civilian deaths.”

If Jews were not the sole target of their outrage, the local “PEACE” group’s claim to support peace might have some credibility. Unfortunately, they parrot Hamas, and support violence.
