Public Comment Opportunity at a Vigil for the Silenced at Marlboro College

December 14, 2019 9:00 am

A “Vigil for the Silenced at Marlboro College” will happen on the campus of Marlboro College Saturday starting at 9:00 in the morning.

The vigil, organized by Amy Tudor, a Marlboro College alumna and resident of Marlboro, is scheduled to occur at the same time as a special meeting of the college’s board of trustees.

It will be held in Ragle Hall at the Serkin Center at 2528 South Rd. and registration at snowmudflowersleaves@gmail.com is requested so the college can provide the right quantity of refreshments.

The merger worked out between the board of Trustees and Emerson College calls for the closure of the Marlboro College campus and a transfer of the college’s $40 million in assets to Emerson, which includes the sale of the campus at Potash Hill.

As part of the board meeting, starting at 9:30 a.m. there will be one hour during which the public can comment on the proposed merger, moderated by Chairman of the Board Richard Saudek.

The open comment period will be recorded for later broadcast on BCTV the following week.
