The Art of Loom Weaving

This informal program demonstrates the ancient art of loom weaving.  It is paired with the ongoing Fabrics Exhibit at the Stone House Tavern Museum.  This exhibit displays quilts and clothing from the mid 18th C to the 1930s.  The variety includes undergarments to wedding dresses, from bustles to silk stocking and many decorative arts including tatting.  The exhibit runs only on Saturdays from 10AM – 1PM, Aug 15, 22, and 29th.
