Saturday, October 17th is a nationwide day encouraging voter participation. We are bringing Brattleboro and neighboring communities together to ensure every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard. Make a plan to vote early!
No matter how one voted previously, each of us is affected by the results of every election. And we’re all in this together. Voters decide who our leaders are; we have a say in who represents us. We decide what comes next.
Come celebrate our voting rights! Celebrate our right to free and fair elections!
On October 17th, join us in local events on the Brattleboro Common from noon to 3 pm. Bring your kids, friends and pets. Dress up as your favorite Superhero and win prizes! We’ll have live music, kids activities, a pet parade, apple cider, popcorn and baked treats.
The Good Trouble Street Choir will lead us in song, Bard Owl will rock us; The People’s Resistance Marching Band will lead the Parade and a musical guest duo will make a surprise appearance!
Parade from the Common to see the Ballot Box at the back of Town Hall. Join the non-partisan standout around the Common to encourage all passersby to VOTE EARLY.
You’ll be able to register to vote.
You’ll be able to check YOUR registration status, even for out-of-state visitors.
No need to sign up but you can check here for updates and contact us if you need assistance or a ride: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1039709/
ALL are Welcome!
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
