Ask-a-Baha’i

In the spirit of “Ask-a-Cop” and “Ask-a Realtor”, our local Baha’i community has decided to launch its own series, called “Ask-a-Baha’i”.

Although many have heard of the Baha’i Faith, few know much about the Faith’s history and teachings.

Through “Ask-a-Baha’i”, we want to create a space for people to ask questions from the privacy and convenience of their homes or mobile devices.

If you want to ask a question and/or make a comment, you can do so in the comments section which follows this article. You can also email us at brattleborovtbahais@yahoo.com, or even arrange to visit the Baha’i Center, where there are books to refer to and explore.

Future posts will discuss the history and teachings of the Faith, mostly in response to readers’ interests. We can also provide links to informative sites. The Faith has a large online presence, including its own portal on Wikipedia.

For now, let’s see what questions arise, and what issues people want to see addressed.

A “dorm parent” of mine at college was Baha’i, and that’s where I learned what little I know of it. My impression was that it was a very tranquil, calm approach to life.

Maybe one question to start off would be – what is it? And what are some of the basic teachings?
