Dan’s report is on file. Dan M. talked with Steve Barrett (Public Works) about tree damage to Main Street trees – mitigation of tree damage & future planting sites as sidewalks are being replaced. Dan also met with students working on “Community Preparedness Plan,” and consulted on trees at Union Station. Planting sites were discussed and will consult with him. Also pruning of trees on Main St was talked about – some new trees there and future planting in Harmony Lot.

Spring planting will look at sites that Paul is interested in more park sites. Also hoping to have a voice in sidewalk work on Main Street, pre-plan for trees.

We discuss the damage to Main Street trees caused by bikes, snow removal and animals tied to trees. We discuss some mitigation – grates, stakes, and bollards, Space for trees need to be planned.

Discussion of invasives – look to work and organizing already in place. Information to the public, professionals, and garden stores, important first step. Partnering with people and programs already in place.

Trails – Robert reports – all seen in good shape, most work is minor, and Spring work done.

We have been given fina; plan for Crowell Lot Skate Park. We can now look at trees affected.
