2020-50                 Town of Brattleboro & Amtrak; Waterfront District; request for Site Plan Approval to develop a level boarding platform and station building shelter in compliance with ADA requirements. The platform is 345 feet long appointed with necessary detectable warning surface, guardrails, platform drainage, full cut-off/dark-sky compliant lighting, signage and snow melt system that extends to cover the station building plaza area. The station building shelter is an all brick building with gable roof style, approximately 1300 sq ft and comprised of 500 sq ft waiting room and ancillary spaces. The station building is positioned on an elevated plaza level with the platform and provided with (2) stairs and (2) ramps leading to the parking level. The parking, sidewalks, pedestrian concrete walkways, parking landscaping and bike rack are developed per the Town of Brattleboro Site Design and Engineering Standards. The work will also include widening Depot street to maintain a 22 ft wide Street and moving the curb line about 5 feet east towards the Connecticut River. The work associated with the encroachment onto the adjacent brown-field site will be documented under a soil management plan SMP as requested by the Town of Brattleboro and Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation. at Depot Street; Tax Map Parcels 325213.000. 325215.000 & 325216.000
