It seems that things we need to do to save the planet are becoming more extreme as time goes on. We didn't do enough when things were easier decades ago. Are we more likely to do the hard things now?

Public policy initiatives such as banning cars, ending the meat industry and all dairy farming, ending trash pickup, and restricting the flow of goods into and out of Brattleboro would end this crisis in only a few decades.
