Grove Street Hydrant Installation

Beginning on Wednesday June 13, the Grove ST entrance to the Municipal Center and Vermont State Building will be closed while Utilities crews install a new hydrant in the area. During the closure, there will be signs indicating that traffic can enter the lot from the Linden ST/Main ST end. The project is anticipated to be completed by Friday June 15, including the repaving of ditches.


Elm Street Closing For Road Work

Elm ST near #15-17 will be closed on Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12 from 6:30 am – approximately 5:00 pm both days while Utilities crews work in the area.

Motorists should plan to use alternate routes during the construction period. Signage will be in place to remind motorists of the road closure.


Cedar Street Lane Shift Helps Walkers, Bikers

The lower end of Cedar Street in Brattleboro will be getting new line striping. The Department of Public Works isn’t just painting over the old lines, though. They’ve marked it out so the driving lanes will shift slightly to allow for wider edges.

The wider area is at the lower end of Cedar Street, and mostly creates a better walking and biking space on the ski jump side of the road.


Clark Street Closing for Sewer Repairs

Clark ST will be closed on Friday, May 18, 2018, beginning at 7:00 a.m. The road will be closed in the area of 81 Clark ST while Utilities crews repair a sewer line. Local residents can access residences at the northern end of Clark ST via Lawrence ST.

Motorists should plan to use alternate routes during the construction period. Signage will be in place to remind motorists of the road closure.


Hamilton Road Closing For Excavation

Hamilton Road will be closed on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This closure will be weather permitting. The road will be closed between house # 146 Hamilton Rd and #311 Hamilton Rd to replace culverts. No through traffic will be allowed as the Highway Division will be excavating across the street to install the culverts.
