The Brattleboro Department of Public Works will hold a Public Meeting on January 5, 2022 at 5:30pm in the Selectboard Meeting Room and on Zoom to discuss a project that will connect the sidewalk between Royal Road and downtown.

6:15 – 6:45 Discussion of RTM Article to stabilize municipal tax of specific solar & other renewable energy plants
Potential Motion: To approve the Memorandum to the Selectboard recommending the insertion of its stated article and recommending certain criteria for stated tax stabilization program.
A public meeting regarding sidewalks and traffic signal improvements at Vernon Street and Royal Road will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 5:30 pm in the Selectboard Meeting Room and on Zoom.
The Town of Brattleboro is looking for feedback as we redesign our website. If you are interested in being a part of a focus group to discuss items such as website navigation, content, and design please submit your name to Sue Fillion, Planning Director at sfillion@brattleboro.org or call 802-251-8112. The focus group will be 1.5 hours long and take place during the month of December. Participants will be able to participate on Zoom or in person at the Municipal Center. Focus group participants will receive a small stipend for their time.
Join us for a public workshop on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. to hear about the proposed goals of the Brattleboro Housing Action Plan and share your thoughts on how to meet the community’s housing needs.
The Municipal Center (230 Main Street) will be open to the public with limited seating spaced six feet apart and face coverings will be required. The public is encouraged to participate in the meeting over Zoom using the following login information:

An Alternatives Presentation for replacement of Brattleboro BF 2000(28), Town Highway 2 (VT Route 9), Bridge 54 over the Whetstone Brook will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, beginning at 6:15 PM in the Selectboard Meeting Room located in the Municipal Center at 230 Main Street, 2nd Floor Suite 212 in Brattleboro, VT. This is the bridge that is located on Western Avenue (VT Route 9) just west of the intersection with Melrose Street. The meeting will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and the Town of Brattleboro.
The Brattleboro Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 6:00 pm in the Hanna Cosman Room at the Brattleboro Municipal Center (230 Main Street). The public is encouraged to participate in the meeting over Zoom. The Municipal Center will be open to the public with limited seating spaced six feet apart and face coverings will be required in the meeting. The agenda contains information on how to access the meeting remotely, including the required “passcode.”

F. Agricultural Land Protection Fund Discussion
There will be an interruption of water service on lower Oak ST and Chase ST from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, while Utilities personnel can replace valves in the intersection of Oak ST and Chase ST.
Work will begin on Monday, August 2, when the intersection will be closed for utilities crew to dig up the old valves and will remain closed until the work is completed on Tuesday, August 3. Residents at #6 – #26 Chase ST should use Forest ST for access and residents at #30 – #49 Chase ST will be able to use Linden ST for access in both directions.

On Wednesday, July 28, Utilities Crews will be working to repair a water valve on Chase Street at the intersection with Oak Street. The work will begin at 7:00 am and will continue though 5:00 pm.
Motorists should plan to use alternate routes during this time period.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
The Department of Public Works continues to have crews out in several areas of town working on road repairs following the severe rainstorm on July 17.
Motorists and residents are asked to continue to use caution on roadways when approaching crews and equipment working on these repairs and to expect delays.
Hinesburg Road
The stone culvert failed at the intersection of Hinesburg Road and Melchen Road. The road will remain closed for several weeks while repairs take place.
NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
