Program Update: In light of the reduced funding allocation for the Brattleboro Town Arts Fund, we have decided to postpone the launch of the 2025 application cycle until January 2026, effectively combining this year’s and next year’s application process and funding resources.
While the Brattleboro Selectboard voted in April to restore $15,000 for the Town Arts Fund in the revised FY26 Town budget, the finalized budget that was sent to and approved at Representative Town Meeting in May included an additional reduction of $5,000 from the TAF program, for a final award of $10,000 for FY26.
By combining the 2025 and 2026 application cycles, ACWC will be able to offer a more robust grant program, providing more substantial support to a wider range of grantees and creative projects. Extending the timeframe of the application launch will also allow time to engage in long-range planning and outreach, and to recalibrate the program in light of current funding realities and needs in the community.
The next application window will open in early January 2026. We’ll be sharing additional updates this fall on the 2026 grant cycle, including schedule, guidelines, information sessions and outreach events. Stay tuned!
