Brookside Timber Harvesting will be treating Kikitta Ahki, the park located at 250 Birge Street in Brattleboro, for invasive plants on Monday, July 14, 2025. The park will be closed for 24 hours to allow the spray to dry. The rain date for this work is Tuesday, July 15.

The treatment will target Japanese Knotweed, Japanese Bittersweet, Rosa Multiflora and Shiny Buckthorn. The treatment implements Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Review mitigation requirements, a condition of the project’s federal grants. The treatment may cause irritation until dry, which is why the park will be closed for 24 hours.
