Subject: VT SHOULD NOT HAVE PETITION SIG. REQ. DURING HIGH GAS PRICES!!!
Dear Paul Dame and H Brooke Paige, Lord knows I drive a “pray as you go daily” 1999 Chevy which is convenient when it needs repairs because the Vermont junk yards are full of parts. I believe in Recylcing, even when it comes to cars. BUT IT GETS 13 M.P.G.
ISN’T IT TIME FOR VERMONT TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE CAR GAS AND ELIMINATE THE PETITION SIGNATURES REQUIREMENT candidates have to collect FOR THE 2026 ELECTION SEASON? We aren’t all RICH and can’t all afford Electric Cars!
I’m so poor, I don’t even know ONE person who can afford an electric car!
BUT GOVERNMENT IS OF THE PEOPLE, and I am certainly one of the people!
H BROOKE PAIGE, could you please go on over to the Vermont State Legislature and make a solid plea for an Elimination of the Requirement of Petition Signatures for candidates to get on the 2026 election ballot because of high gas prices?
(and, guess what, today in the news, 2 American pilots shot down, so this war is NOT over yet!).
There are no free and fair elections if the poorest among us can not participate!
