Seminar Series About Money

What: Arriving Together At the Power of Mutual Credit – offered by John Root jr of Just Abundance, Common Good Finance and rCredits.

Where: 15 Grove St, Brattleboro, VT 05301 (Behind the Stone Church)

When: Wednesday night, Jan 18, 6:30-9pm and subsequent Wednesday eves.

The first two sessions are historical and conceptual: First, the history of money and control of the banksters, with the emphasis on American history of money.  “Why is the almighty dollar the basis for the American Empire?”

The second session is grounding in basic concepts: Unit of Value, Means of Exchange, Currency, Circulation vs
Store of Value, Community Identifier, Instrument of Empire, Loans, Interest or Usury, Grants, Social Credit and economic process ending with surplus from exchange.

The third session is about rescuing our understanding of ourselves from the lies of the culture by going
around the circle with the questions:  Who are you?  What do I have to do with you?  What do we want?  These questions have transformative potential.

We will ask for proposals of how to continue into the last session, with practice on the rChoice methodology for how sovereigns make decisions together. We will each imagine ways to work together in Brattleboro.

By the end of the four sessions you will understand the concepts, in addition to being able to join an active
experiment in Greenfield. You may decide to use your ability to speak about the problem of private banks – issuing the currency to benefit themselves – and indicate to others WHY the solution of mutual credit is not only attractive, but irresistible!  You will be able to take the skills of a participatory, inclusive decision making process based on consent back to the groups you work with, and show them how Group Work can improve our relations, help us all be more grounded, and increase our efficacy.  THAT is the way to build a society to benefit everyone.

This is what Common Good Finance has developed, and continues to offer.
