Vermont Comedy All Stars Return to Next Stage Arts For A Night Of Stand-up Comedy on Friday, September 9th at 7:30pm

Gordon Clark and his Vermont Comedy All-Stars return for a night of stand-up comedy at Next Stage Arts, following their enormously successful shows in November and March. Featured performers will include several contest-winning and touring comedians most often seen in the Burlington area.

“We all need reasons to laugh, and the Vermont Comedy All Stars do an outstanding job,” says Keith Marks, Executive Director of Next Stage Arts. “Comedians will be coming from all around the state to perform – partnering with the All Stars allows them to reach a new audience in the southern part of the state, and build a new following.”

The cast of stellar performers includes:

Nilima Abrams was a finalist in Vermont’s Funniest Comedian Competition and has performed throughout New England and Hawaii. She co-created the Earth Mirth eco-support series and was the keynote speaker/featured comedian at events by The American Cancer Society, Surfrider Foundation, The Center for Independent Living, and others. She performs regularly at the Vermont Comedy Club in Burlington.

Eric Dreiblatt is a young but seasoned Burlington-based stand up comedian, writer, and producer. He hosts the Three Leaves Comedy Open Mic at Deli 126 in Burlington every Monday, and the Three Leaves Comedy Showcase, also at Deli 126. We lost him for a few years recently to New Orleans, but now he’s returned to his native Vermont, and we’re delighted to have him!

Leanne Horvath is a yoga therapist, farmer, writer. After many years in the film industry working on feature films and television shows, she found her calling in comedy. She is the founder of the Monadnock Comedy Cult and the Co-Producer and Host of Nova Arts Comedy Night. Leanne has performed alongside many of today’s up and coming comics, including Jordan Jensen, Caitilin Pelufo, Steven Rogers and more.

E.J. Murphy is a Vermont native and Boston headliners who has played top clubs all over the country. His comedy has appeared on MSN’s home page, Sirius XM, Audible’s Sounds Like America, and Rooftop Comedy’s daily 8. He has featured in the finals of The Boston Comedy Festival, The Oddball, Asheville and Burbank Comedy Festivals, and The Comedy Central Laugh Riots, and has even opened for Styx!

Toni Nagy is a comedian who’s quasi–radical, pseudo-philosophical, somewhat-existential, and wildly funny, with a unique brand of very physical comedy that won her the “Best New Talent” award at the Broadway Comedy Club in NYC in 2017 – and again in April 2019. She’s also a highly original content creator, and her videos have been watched online over 60 million times.

Gordon Clark is the producer and host of the Next Stage comedy shows, and the Director of Vermont Comedy All Stars, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the comic arts in Vermont. He also produces and hosts two monthly shows, the “Second Wednesday” Comedy Jam at the iconic Nectar’s Lounge in Burlington, and the Third Thursday Stand Up Specials at Bent Nails Bistro in Montpelier.
