Young Ireland at Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery July 28

Irish-American folk music duo Young Ireland presents a musical celebration of Irish history and tradition at Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery on Sunday, July 28 at 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome to share this evening of inspiring, original songs and storytelling. Partial proceeds from the concert benefit Brattleboro Area Hospice.

Young Ireland is a newcomer to the Irish music scene, based in San Luis Obispo, California. First and second generation Irish-Americans with County Mayo, Ireland roots, the father-son duo of Patrick and Michael writes and performs original songs reflecting the spirit of the Irish struggles and traditions in both Ireland and America from the 1600’s to modern day. Their acoustic music is driven by skillfully crafted ballads and delicate harmonies in a richly Irish tradition, and At age fourteen, Michael sings with the heart of an old soul.

Brattleboro Area Hospice is an independent, community-based, non-profit volunteer organization that provides grassroots, volunteer-staffed programs to supplement and provide alternatives to the professional services utilized by dying and grieving community members. Hospice is locally funded and provides services free of charge to anyone living in Southeastern Vermont or bordering New Hampshire towns. Hospice is located at 191 Canal Street in Brattleboro.
