This Friday, October 9 = The Gathering Concert with 5 Award-winning Musicians!

This will be acoustic music at its finest with Barbara Higbie (piano), David Cullen (guitar), Jill Haley (oboe & English horn), David Lindsay (guitar), and Tom Eaton (piano)! The concert is presented by Will Ackerman, (Grammy winner and founder of Windham HIll Records), who has been praised for producing some of the best acoustic instrumental music in the world in recent years at his Imaginary Roads Studio in West Dummerston. 

 The Gathering Concert will be at The Centre Congregational Church this Friday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Barbara Higbie (pianist, fiddler, singer-songwriter), co-founded the acoustic super group, MONTREUX. She has 5 solo albums, and has performed with greats like Carlos Santana and Teresa Trull. 

David Cullen (guitar), GRAMMY winner known for his “ferocious fingerstyle”, has recorded 12 CDs and performed on the Windham Hill Guitar Sampler and other Windham Hill Compilation CDs. 

Jill Haley (oboe & English horn), was awarded BEST PIANO
ALBUM with INSTRUMENTATION at the Zone Music Reporter (ZMR) Awards in 2014 for
her album “Mesa Verde Soundscapes”, and in 2012 her album, ”Zion and Bryce
Canyon Soundscapes,” was rated #1 for the MOST WORLDWIDE AIRPLAY by ZMR.

David Lindsay (guitar), has performed throughout Canada and will release a new instrumental album, “Nightbound”, in November, produced by Will Ackerman and Tom Eaton. 

Tom Eaton (piano) best known as an AWARD WINNING RECORDING ENGINEER AND PRODUCER, works alongside Will Ackerman at Imaginary Road Studio. This concert will offer a rare evening of extraordinary music!

  • Feast or Famine

    Kind of a bummer, with such a dearth of live music around here..that this event is on the same night as the blues concert. Guess it’s one of those when it rains it pours deals.
