Fairy House Workshop

Apples are sacred trees to the old Irish druidic peoples; orchards are even more special for the nourishment they provide.  Representing love, healing, and youthfulness, apples symbolized the letter Q in the Ogham script of Ireland. Join Mike Bald, our Royalton neighbor and Elf-minder, in building your own magic for the supernatural beings who protect the trees. Mike provides wooden blanks or “cookies” and paints and brushes and river stones, while participants provide the inspiration to create unique fairy doors and elf houses. Stories, a touch of history, seasonal treats, and good company do create a very special energy!
