Letter-writing party in the Brattleboro Food Coop Community Room, sponsored by the Vermont Workers’ Center’s Healthcare Is A Human Right Campaign. Brief updates on the campaign for universal healthcare in Vermont and support in writing letters rooted in your own experiences with the healthcare system. Bring a computer if you have one and we’ll also have extras. Light refreshments.

    If anyone thinks that healthcare is a human right then the collective human hive better be prepared to back it up. Universal health and education, unlike war, is far down on the totem of human social rights. And forget the basic needs. They were sold to the “highest” bidder a long time ago.

    You have the right to go to war. Beyond that all other rights are wishful thinking.

    Now, when you secure for yourselves the “right” to send your taxed dollars to the “right” of your choice, expect even then the majority will always let you down.

    If you don’t think so, take a good look at the people who voted for the Trump.

    The wheels are spinning and you know not where they go.
