Thank You to Retailers and Restaurants Who Participated in the Responsible Beverage Service Trainings

To the Brattleboro Business Community,

Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition (BAPC) would like to thank the following businesses who participated in the Reponsible Beverage Service Trainings held in December:

The Backside Cafe, Brattleboro American Legion, Brattleboro Bowl, Brattleboro Country Club, Brattleboro Elks Lodge #1499, Brattleboro Food Coop, Brattleboro Neighbors-Exit 1, Chelsea Royal Diner, Cumberland Farms, The Hermitage Inn, Jezebels, North End Market, Okemo Mountain, Putney Road Market & Deli, Riverbend Market, Sandri Sunoco, 7-Eleven, Silo Restaurant, and Stratton Mountain Resort.

Thirty-two employees of retailers and establishments that serve or sell alcohol and/or tobacco products attended the trainings. Congratulations to our raffle winners Anne Hill and Riverbend Market! Additionally, 7-Eleven in West Brattleboro and the Backside Cafe each won a drawing for an ID Checking Kit to safeguard against false IDs.

BAPC sponsors the Responsible Beverage Service Trainings, in partnership with the Department of Liquor Control, as part of a comprehensive approach to increase collaboration with local retailers to reduce and prevent underage use of alcohol and tobacco and sales/service to intoxicated customers. BAPC also promotes the Healthy Retailers initiative which encourages healthier food and beverage choices and discourages tobacco and alcohol use among youth.

Please be part of the solution by joining BAPC in preventing substance abuse in our community. Call 802.257.2175 or EMAIL for more information and/or to get involved.

Sincerely,

Cassandra Holloway
BAPC Policy and Program Coordinator
