The Brattleboro Food Co-op is now stocking Scrub Your Soul’s vegan castile soap in the bulk department.  Fill your own bottle to wash your body, your dishes, your hair, or anything that needs washing! Be sure to request scents you would like to see. 

It doesn’t get any more local than less than a mile from the co-op.  Hand crafted in small batches for the highest quality.

  • Castile Soap is the Best

    I love Castile soap. I use it as shampoo (Lavender or Almond) and as a somewhat antimicrobial hand soap (Eucalyptus). I also wash with it and do my hand washing too.

    But my question is: what makes a Castile soap vegan? Aren’t all Castile soaps (such as Dr. Bronner’s) made with only plant based oils like hemp?

  • Some producers use animal

    Some producers use animal byproducts as glycerine (not all glycerine is vegetable derived) or stabilizers like stearic acid which is often derived from tallow. This soap is purely sunflower and coconut oils.
