Driving – It’s a right, not a privilege.

Avoid distractions. Reaching for cell phones and other gadgets causes accidents. If you must make or receive a call, pull over or use a hands-free device. Texting while driving is illegal in Vermont.

    SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the early morning of January 22, 2014 the Vermont State Police were notified of a vehicle crash that involved a fully marked Brattleboro Police Department cruiser. The Brattleboro Police Department requested the Vermont State Police to conduct the investigation. This crash occurred on Canal Street in the Town of Brattleboro.

    Vermont State Police from the Brattleboro Barracks responded to the crash scene at 29 Canal Street.

    Initial investigation indicated that the cruiser, operated by on-duty Police Officer Josh Lynde was traveling north on Canal Street. The cruiser collided with a parked vehicle. The crash is still under investigation. No one was injured as a result of the crash.
