On Thursday, November 14, 6:00-7:30 pm, the West Brattleboro Association (WBA) will hold its monthly meeting at The New England House, 254 Marlboro Road. The Association will have a final wrap-up on the success of their Columbus Day Weekend Chicken Barbecue held Saturday, October 12, in addition to a report of their treasury given by new association treasurer, Tim Cuthbertson.
The group will also have a quick review of the various projects undertaken by the WBA including traffic safety, bulb plantings, signage, police/fire facilities, and the status of the Neighborhoods Project.
Special guest at this month’s meeting is Brattleboro Housing Authority Executive Director Chris Hart who will be on hand to discuss the plans of her department, especially as they relate to the Authority’s housing in West Brattleboro.
The meeting will continue with proposing ideas for an annual holiday meeting in December along with an update on the vision for a regional arts center. As time permits, the group might also discuss whether to look toward Front Porch Forum or toward iBrattleboro for a free on-line community-building service.
The next monthly meeting of the WBA, which could be a holiday party, is Thursday, December 12th, time and venue TBD. Watch for further information.
