Next WBA Meeting November 10th, Local Legislators Invited

The next monthly meeting of the West Brattleboro Association (WBA) will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 PM at the Hayes Court Community Room on Garfield Drive.

After a review of the treasury report and discussion of possible uses of remaining sign funds, the group will talk about the upcoming Holiday Party plans. And speaking of holiday, the use of non-powered decorations for the West B common this year will be considered.

Members of the WBA will hear updates on various topics including the status of the Neighborhoods Fund and of economic development initiatives.

Some of our local state Senators and Representatives will be present for a discussion of rules covering notification of hearings to abutters, specifically when those abutters are members of a cooperative or collective that owns the land beneath their homes.  If there is time, other topics might be covered as well.

The West B Commercial Spaces subcommittee will be holding a meeting on November 15th, this time at the Green Mountain Market and Deli.

The purpose of the Association is to promote the thoughtful and effective evolution of the community of West Brattleboro as a place that is safe, healthy, attractive, and prosperous and also to help West B residents be informed Brattleboro community members.  WBA monthly meetings are open to all residents and business owners, and anyone else interested in West B.
