Funding would help....
How about giving the Tree Committee $10k of the “sustainability” funds to plant trees along sidewalks to make the town more walkable and friendly-to-wildlife?
Brattleboro has been removing trees without replacing them for far too long.
Again, this could be a revenue-generator, too, if the Town started charging for tree-cutting permits, and fining for not replacing cut trees.
