The Brattleboro Selectboard will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 5:00pm at the Brattleboro Municipal Center (230 Main Street). The Board will convene at 5:00pm and is expected to immediately enter into executive session to discuss the appointment or employment or evaluation of a public officer or employee.
The Board will reconvene after the executive session and immediately adjourn. No action will be taken.

The reason this meeting is being called as an emergency meeting with less than 24-hours advance
notice is because the sole purpose of this meeting is to enter into executive session to discuss
potential terms of employment for the Selectboard’s preferred applicant for Town Manager and
time is of the essence in those negotiations. The Selectboard will confer with the executive search
consultant but will not take any action(s) either in the executive session or in the public meeting.
The Selectboard encourages the public to participate via Zoom.
There will be limited public seating in the Selectboard Meeting Room.
All seats will be at least six feet apart.
Everyone in the room will be required to wear a face covering.
The room will be cleared af ter the Board enters executive session.
