I-91 Brattleboro Bridge Replacement Project Update – Week of October 20, 2013

I-91

Single lane closure of the passing lanes on I-91 Northbound and Southbound will continue for the week of October 20. The lanes will remain closed over the weekend.

Route 30

The speed limit on Route 30 near the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. This reduction will remain in effect through August 2016. Truck activity on Route 30 will continue for the week of October 20. Route 30 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently. Flaggers will regulate traffic flow.

Upper Dummerston Road

No impacts anticipated for the week of October 20.

West River Trail

The West River Trail will continue to be closed from the Marina Trailhead to the I-91 bridges for the first part of the week of October 20. Thru access will not be allowed from the north due to construction access activities. We anticipate re-opening the trail to pedestrian and bike users on Thursday, October 24th. Signage at the Marina Trailhead and Rice Mills Road Trailhead will indicate current trail status. In addition, we will keep the project’s website www.i91brattleborobridge.com up to date on the current status of the trail.

The Trail is open from the northern trailhead to a point just north of the bridge construction area. The northern trailhead access location is on Rice Farm Road, about a mile south of the Iron Bridge.

West River

No impacts anticipated for the week of October 20.
