I-91 Brattleboro Bridge Replacement Project Update: Week of June 9

I-91

Northbound I-91 traffic has been relocated onto the southbound bridge. Traffic will remain reduced to one lane in each direction on I-91 until completion of the new bridge in the Fall of 2015.

Route 30

The speed limit on Route 30 near the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. This reduction will remain in effect through the Spring of 2016.

Project-related truck activity on Route 30 will continue. Route 30 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently both day and night, with flaggers regulating traffic within the work zone.

Night work on the new bridge will continue at the columns on Route 30. Night work will be conducted Monday night June 9 thru Friday night June 13.

Upper Dummerston Road

No project impacts to Upper Dummerston Road are anticipated for the week of June 9. In late June or early July, Upper Dummerston Road may be closed briefly during daytime hours.

West River Trail

An alternate path for the West River Trail has been opened at the Marina Trailhead that provides recreational use of the trail near the construction access road. Signage has been installed providing clear direction to recreational users of the trail. There are intersections between construction access and the trail path, and users should exercise extreme caution at these intersections. As an additional safety precaution, users of the West River Trail are reminded to keep pets on a leash in this area.

West River

The northbound bridge has been removed over the West River. No impacts to recreational boaters are anticipated for the week of June 9th.
