Rescheduled West Brattleboro Economic Development Forum, February 23rd

On Monday, February 23rd, at 5:00 PM, all West Brattleboro businesses are invited to discuss business and economic development ideas with Brattleboro and Windham County development organizations.  Representatives will be present from Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Windham Regional Commission and the Town of Brattleboro.

The meeting (which was postponed from the original date two weeks ago due to a snowstorm) will take
place in the central conference room at the 55 Marlboro Road building and is being organized by the West Brattleboro Association.  (55 Marlboro Rd. is the long building with Central Appliance at its right corner.  Use the front center door and head to the back.) Light refreshments will be provided.

The goals of the meeting are to have all participants gain better insights into the current business climate in West Brattleboro, think through how that fits into the regional situation, see whether some current needs can be met by current programs, and discuss what subsequent steps make sense.

In the weeks leading up to the meeting a short, online survey is being conducted to gain a sense of the current status, needs and aspirations of the local businesses.  Any West Brattleboro business that has not
yet filled out the survey is invited to do so at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C7H8YJ6

At least half an hour will be set aside for business owners to introduce themselves and their businesses, describe what kind of help they could benefit from and bring up ideas.  Following that the economic and community development representatives in attendance will describe their support programs which may match these needs.  All participants will also be encouraged to think about future steps.

The purpose of the West Brattleboro Association is to promote the thoughtful and effective evolution of the community of West Brattleboro as a place that is safe, healthy, attractive, and prosperous.
