He’s (Not) In.

So, Joe Biden is running. I’m somewhat surprised – I thought he might feel that his family couldn’t take the stress and drama of a campaign so soon after the death of his son. I’m sure he and his family were torn about the decision.

I like Biden. Despite him having to constantly remove his foot from his mouth. Or maybe because of it.

Not sure yet where he’ll fall in the Hilary/Bernie dynamic in terms of voter support. I’d vote for him over Hilary.

The race just got a little more interesting.

  • Source? Time?

I can’t find verification of this anywhere online or on TV. Details? I’m so tired of waiting… Could the wait really be over?
    Tuesday 12:01 a.m.

    • I heard it on the radio

I heard it on the radio although this morning I am not finding any clarification of it on line. Perhaps a premature announcement.

  • He's Not In Yet. Supposedly

He’s Not In Yet. Supposedly will make an announcement within the next 48 hours as to whether or not he’s running. I think he’s waited too long. Also not so sure he’s got that great a shot at it. He’s run before with sort of so-so results, not sure the vice-presidency will garner enough additional points to make him electable. Also the leaks that he is running seem to be coming from Fox News which means they want him to run and must view him as a “beatable” opponent. And, sad to say, they might be correct. Anytime Fox seems to want someone to run on the Democratic side, or trashes someone repeatedly as they have with Hillary, is a pretty good indication of who they see as a weak or strong opponent.

  • Never mind.

So, I heard this “announcement” last night on a Boston radio station but apparently it isn’t true. At least not yet. Maybe they jumped the gun a little or perhaps I was hallucinating. Anything’s possible,I guess. Sorry for the confusion.
The official unofficial word is that Biden will announce his decision sometime.Or not.

    • Biden his time

And if and when he does or doesn’t, we’ll all vote for him, or not. : )

Fox News was reporting that he’d decided yes yesterday. Others were saying “within 48 hours.”

  • Not so in

I’ve been waiting to find out if this rumor would turn out to be true or not.

According to his press conference, he is not running. (I’ve updated the headline, slightly. Hope people don’t mind.)

  • America in Trouble

This country does not need another Clinton or Bush presidency. We need new energy, new ideas on how to start working together for the good of the country, and not always voting the party line. Vermont desperately needs to shake off this far left cloak that seems to bind Leahy, Sanders and Welch to ALWAYS side with their party instead of what’s good for the country. Yesterday’s vote in the Senate NOT to force sanctuary cities to uphold federal law is a disgraceful example of party first, country last. All but two Democrats opposed a bill that would have re-enforced compliance with federal law. I guess now, in America, we can pick and choose which laws to abide by thanks to liberal logic.

One thing is certain. There are tens of thousands of folks in Vermont that are not being fairly represented by our three Washington representatives. Remember, Vermont’s conservative roots grow deep and quietly.

One more thing. I heard Leahy is going to run for re-election to another six years in Washington. How old is he? 75? Come on. Time for real change!
