Be afraid, very afraid!
Jade Helm 15 is a United States military training exercise, scheduled to take place in multiple U.S. Southwestern states from July 15 to September 15, 2015.Led by Patriot Alex Jones, Texans and other residents are very concerned about the military’s latest intrusion on their freedoms.
Theories about Jade Helm 15 include: a “psychological operation aimed at getting people used to seeing military forces on the streets” so they do not realize when an invasion actually takes place; an international operation aimed to seize people’s guns; recently closed Walmarts used by the military to “stockpile supplies for Chinese troops who will be arriving to disarm Americans”; and a military plan to “round up political dissidents” and “remove key political figures” who may be against the imposition of martial law. Other theories by right wing bloggers and activists have described Jade Helm 15 as a “secret plot” to impose martial law, confiscate firearms, invade Texas, and institute “total population control.”
The conspiracy theories also include concern about the name of the exercise, with the jade in Jade Helm 15 referring to China.
Alex Jones said that helm is an acronym for “Homeland Eradication of Local Militants” (Wikipedia)
I haven’t been keeping up with the latest news about this exercise. One of the features is supposed to be railroad cars fitted with shackles to transport Americans to the numerous FEMA camps spread around the country.
These trains are real! I have seen them with my own eyes from Interstate 80 in New Jersey. They’ve been around long enough to have graffiti sprayed on them.
Cleverly, these FEMA trains have been designed as dual-purpose vehicles. The ones I saw in New Jersey were unloading automobiles made in Asia, and shipped to West Coast ports, then trans-shipped east in these trains. The autos load from the rear and are driven over internal “roadways’ toward the front, where they are shackled in place to keep any of them from escaping.

Jade Helm 15, the controversial Special Operations exercise that spawned a wave of conspiracy theories about a government takeover, will open next week without any media allowed to observe it, a military spokesman said. Embedded reporters won’t be permitted at any point during the exercise, in which military officials say that secretive Special Operations troops will maneuver through private and publicly owned land in several southern states. The exercise is scheduled for July 15 through September 15 and is expected to include more than 1,200 troops. Army Special Operations Command announced the exercise in March, saying its size and scope would set it apart from most training exercises. For months, some protesters have said Jade Helm is setting the stage for future martial law. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, called in April for the Texas State Guard to monitor the exercise [to] improve communication between Special Operations forces and civilians in Texas. The Washington Post has several times requested access to observe the exercise, making the case to the military that first-hand media coverage would help explain the mission. [Army spokesman Lt. Col. Mark] Lastoria said it is not possible to allow a journalist to travel with Special Operations forces in the field.

I know that the right wing conspiracy camp almost force people to make fun of them, but I have to admit that I too found “Jade Helm” kind of creepy… 😉
