Bonnyvale Road Closing for Culverts

On Thursday, July 27 and Friday July 28, the Town has contracted A.S. Clark, to replace three culverts on Bonnyvale Road. Between 7:00am and 4:00pm, Bonnyvale Road will be closed between 986 Bonnyvale Rd (near Miller Road) and 1066 Bonnyvale Road (near the power lines.)  Emergency Services (and residents of 986-1066 Bonnyvale Road) will be able to access all addresses but there could be delays and detours involved.  


State Police Press Release(s) on West Brattleboro Shooting

BRATTLEBORO, Vermont (Wednesday, July 20, 2022) — The Vermont State Police is continuing its investigation early Wednesday morning into the fatal police shooting of the person of interest in the disappearance and death of a missing Massachusetts woman, 23-year-old Mary Anderson.

Following notification of next of kin, the state police is able to release the preliminary identification of the deceased man: Matthew Davis, 34, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. His body will be transported to the Vermont Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of his death.

The fatal shooting occurred in a wooded area between Bonnyvale Road and South Street southwest of Western Avenue in West Brattleboro.


Bonnyvale Road Closure For Stormwater Improvements

Starting Monday, August 17th, The Department of Public Works will begin stormwater improvements on Bonnyvale Road. The work will take place between number 1043 and 1219. As a result, this section of Bonnyvale Road will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Local traffic will be able to access the driveways within the project area. Weather permitting, the project is anticipated to be completed by August 28th. Advanced warning signs will be in place to warn of the closure.
