January 11, 2021
Members present- Jaci Reynolds, David Schoales, Tim Maciel, Emily Murphy Kaur, Liz Adams,
Kelly Young
Staff Present- Paul Smith.

2. Minutes from December 9, 2020 approved
3. Equity in Learning Opportunities- Paul reviewed administrative conversation about the problem of under-engaged students. Committee discussed what we would like to do about this. Knowing who the students are is key to understanding whether equity issues are at play and what interventions are needed. Jaci advised we ask staff what support we can provide to help them engage these students. We will have data from Panorama in March.
Emily will request staff members attend a near-future board meeting to help us and the public understand the challenges of engagement under COVID.
5. Title IX
Tim and Emily’s policy proposal for ensuring gender equity in transportation, accommodations, and meals was presented. Motion approved.
Jaci and Kelly will review their sections for the next meeting.
