Sandglass Theater is delighted to announce the return of the Winter Sunshine Series, Southern Vermont’s beloved winter puppetry tradition, celebrating its 19th season in February 2026. Rooted in joy, creativity, and community, Winter Sunshine brings families together for cozy, homemade fun through the timeless art of live puppetry.

Dedicated to serving children, families, and teachers, the series features a different live puppetry performance every Saturday in February, with shows at 11:00am and 2:00pm at Sandglass Theater, 17 Kimball Hill, Putney, VT. The program highlights extraordinary New England puppeteers and reflects Sandglass Theater’s long-standing partnership with community supporters and its deep organizational history in the region.

In addition to public performances, select artists will offer school shows and hands-on workshops, encouraging creative exchange across generations and inviting audiences to see everyday objects, sounds, and stories in new ways. Performances and workshops may also be available for birthday parties, school engagements, and special events. Inquiries may be directed to jana@sandglasstheater.org.
