Strolling of the Heifers BIG Booksale at Brooks Library

Come watch the parade and shop for some great books!

The Friends of the Library’s June Book Sale will be held on Thursday, June 4 from 1PM to 6PM, Friday, June 5 from 10AM to 6PM and Saturday, June 6 from 10AM to 2PM. A great collection of hardback, paperback and coffee table books plus audio books, music CDs and DVD movies. Lots of fiction on sale and non-fiction titles include gardening, travel, sports, science, music and art, biography, history, how-to, cooking and much more!

The Friends of the Library host book sales three times a year. The proceeds of each sale go to the Library for the purchase of: new books, technology updates, Children’s Room materials, free museum passes and digital on-line resources.

The June book sale is the Friends’ biggest sale of the year. There will be approximately 5,000 items for sale including hardback, paperback and coffee-table books. Book prices will range from 25 cents to $3.00 with some special interest and coffee-table books priced higher. Titles cover a wide range of subject areas as well as a good selection of fiction. All books have been donated to the Library by community members. The books are screened for good quality and sorted by subject area by Library volunteers.

The early opening time on Saturday allows those interested to review the books and find a great viewing spot for the parade in front of the Library. The parade should make its way to the front of the Library at around 10:30. We have stopped taking donations until after the sale. Donations are welcome again AFTER the booksale, many thanks!
