Brattleboro Film Fest Offers Cash Grants/Showcase to Young Filmmakers (under 25)

The Brattleboro Film Festival’s call for submissions to our first annual Young Filmmakers’ Showcase will close October 15. Filmmakers under the age of 25 should submit their original work to be celebrated alongside the front runners of our 2014 program which will run 10 days from October 31 to November 9, all at the Latchis Theatre. The Youth Showcase will be presented and awards announced at Headroom Stages at 17 Elliot Street from 7 to 9 pm November 7, 2014 (Gallery Walk)where refreshments will be served all for free!

JURIED CATEGORIES

Best filmmaker under the age of 18 wins $250
Best filmmaker between the ages of 18-25 wins $500

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The filmmaker is under the age of 25
Submissions of any genre, length, or content – made within the last three years – are welcome
No fee for submission needed
Please include a very short statement (300 words max!) about your piece and a connection it has to the state of Vermont. The connection can be personal (you live, work, go to school, have visited, like a lot) – stretches of the imagination welcome! Be creative!
All necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, and permits necessary to present the work have been obtained. The Brattleboro Film Festival is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work.
