We are very excited to announce this new adventure! Our formal name is Ewe Have Me In Stitches!
We welcome all crocheters and knitters, at any experience level! Best of all, being a member of this
chapter is free! Of course, if you would like to become a member of the CGOA, we will help you do just that!
There will be benefits to being a member of this chapter, but if you want even more benefits, join CGOA!
A few things that I am looking forward to (and if you have any ideas, please let me know)
– Learning experiences – I’d like to set one meeting a month to be a learning session. Learning a new
stitch or technique, or teaching crocheters how to knit the basics and vice versa or a new pattern, etc. I’d like to have this run by members of the chapter. I’ll volunteer to teach something new in the first learning session! Hmm, gotta get my wheels turning to come up with something awesome 🙂
– Show and Tell – During each meeting, we can bring in our WIPs or recently finished or just something that
we are proud of, to show off and talk about and receive all of the oohs and aahs that we love to hear! This time can also be used to get advice or encouragement to keep on going!
– Field Trips! – I’d like us to go as a group to a fiber festival or something similar! Of course, dinner after is a must! We have to talk about all of the wonderful things that we saw and touched and bought! We can even discuss CGOA national events and conferences as they come up.
– Charity – I suppose one of the most important things that I would like to see us accomplish would be picking a charity or two to support. We all love what we do, so why not spread the love? It will give us a reason to work and it will benefit others. I have already spoken witth Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and we have a few ideas to help their newborns. There will be more information about this on the website soon.
Ewe Have Me In Stitches meets the first and third Saturday of every month at The Crafty Cauldron in Brattleboro from 1-3 pm. Becoming a member of the group is completely free! Come down to our next meeting and bring a friend!
