HatchSpace presents Woodturning Workshops in December

HatchSpace Presents Woodturning Classes for Beginners

Hatchspace, 35 Frost St in Brattleboro, Vermont, is a non-profit dedicated to sharpening an appreciation for the work of human hands through the learning, practice, and teaching of woodworking.

Now one year old, Hatch serves the greater Brattleboro community with shared member workspace and classes for all levels of experience and interest.

Upcoming in December, instructor Blake Johnson offers a two part series in woodturning.

Turning for Life (Sunday, December 8, 1-4 pm) offers the beginning woodturner a new wooden handle for an old favorite tool.

For those having taken part one and wanting to continue the turning spirit, Blake will offer Turning for the Holidays (Sunday, December 15, 1-4 pm) for making a festive handle for a gift item, like a pizza cutter or bottle stopper.

Those taking both workshops will receive a free HatchSpace tee shirt or hat in the spirit of the holidays!

Classes are open to the public. No experience necessary. For more info on the classes or Hatchspace itself, visit hatchspace.org, or email info@hatchspace.org.
