Town School Vote December 13

Wednesday December 7, is the last day for Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Putney residents to register to vote at the Special Town School District vote to be held on Tuesday, December 13.

If you are currently registered to vote in the town where you reside, you do not need to register again.

Early voter/absentee ballots are now available in town clerks’ offices. Anyone wishing to vote prior to December 13, may apply for an early voter/absentee ballot until 5:00 P. M. on Monday, December 12. Absentee ballots may be voted in person in the clerk’s office, taken out of the office by the voter, mailed to the voter by the clerk’s office or delivered to the voter’s residence by two justices of the Peace. All ballots must be received by the clerk before the polls close on election day to be counted.

    I haven’t heard a good argument for consolidation yet.

    Holding info meetings is “proper” but isn’t really doing the hard work of selling this, whatever the benefits might be, to us.

    A big change like this needs a compelling reason, well-articulated.
