WSESD Personnel committee – Thursday, July 23, 2020
Present: Kelly Young, Anne Beekman, Kerry Amidon, Liz Adams and Shaun Murphy
Also: Andy Skarzynski
Meeting called to order at 5:08 pm by Kelly Young.
On a motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Liz Adams, the agenda was amended to include a new hire.
On a motion by Liz Adams and seconded by Anne Beekman the minutes of June 23rd were approved.
Superintendent Skarzynski presented a proposal for 1% funding for Dummerston School around planning and preparation for reopening.
On a motion by Kerry Amidon and seconded by Anne Beekman the 1% funding request was approved.
On a motion by Liz Adams and seconded by Shaun Murphy, the board voted to approve the hiring of a new Kindergarten teacher at Dummerston.
On a motion by Kerry Amidon and seconded by Liz Adams the board entered executive session at 5:26 pm under 1 V.S.A. §313 1(a) to discuss a contract matter. The board came out of executive session at 6:00 pm with no action taken.
On a motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Liz Adams the board voted to adjourn at 6:01 pm.
