Present: Kelly Young, Anne Beekman, Shaun Murphy, Liz Adams, Kerry Amidon

CALL TO ORDER: 5:36 pm – Kelly Young, Chair
Minutes for the July 23, 2020 meeting were approved on a motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Shaun Murphy.
BUHS Principal Steve Perrin presented the 1% request from the Faculty Council focused on reopening during the pandemic, increasing staff diversity, and helping to ensure new initiatives are consistent with student and faculty needs. After discussion with and questions from the board, Steve recommended that he work with the drafters of the proposal to rework it to meet current needs.
WRCC Director Nancy Wiese presented a proposal from her facility that included Professional Development and Evaluation of Instructional Program with Nearpod and NGPF. The board questioned and discussed the proposal. Motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Liz Adams to reject the 1% proposal. The motion passed with 4 yeas, 0 nays. Shaun Murphy abstained as his preference would be that the Director and proposal writer work out a new proposal without the rejection of the Personnel Committee.
BAMS Principal Keith Lyman presented two spreadsheets of 1% requests. The board questioned and discussed the group of proposals. Motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Liz Adams to approve the 1% requests from BAMS pending verification of their completion by the Principal.
The committee adjourned at 6:20 pm on a motion by Anne Beekman and seconded by Liz Adams.
