Nature Explorers Summer Camps & Programs

Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center is offering seven weeks of Nature Explorers Summer Camp for children ages 5 to 11 from June 28th through August 13th. BEEC is also offering one week of Nature Photo Explorers for ages 12 to 18 on August 2 – 6 in collaboration with the In-Sight Photography Project.

BEEC’s Nature Explorers Summer Camps are for the young person who enjoys the natural world. Our goal is to foster children’s love of nature in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Campers spend most of each day outdoors, in small groups, exploring the forests, meadows and waters of our 60 acres.

Hands-on activities, non-competitive games, stories, art projects, music, and free play add to the Nature Explorers Camp experience. Children return year after year, excited to visit special places such as Grandmother Tree, Mossy Rocks and Frog Pond. They also return knowing that there is much fun to be had! Campers investigate the lives of their wild neighbors, learn naturalist skills, explore wildlife habitats, develop sensory awareness skills, venture off-trail, and discover a sense of magic and wonder in the great outdoors.

Nature Photo Explorers will integrate digital photography in nature exploration and discovery. Students will use the camera as a lens to investigate the natural world around us. Explorations will take place at unique natural areas around Brattleboro, including woodland, aquatic and mountain adventures. No prior camera experience needed.
